The opening of this spot is a mix of clean-up and adding a bit of "shine" to the Gatorade "research" center. The latter half of the spot is where the fun begins - all of the players - including Lionel Messi - were shot on an unremarkable practice field. The stadium and pitch were built from a separate photo shoot and LIDAR scan, and the crowds were added in Nuke. All lighting, sideline personnel, atmosphere and scoreboards were comped in, and the players - now fully rotoscoped, were placed on the pitch, with lighting adjusted and shadows re-generated.
